…as to where the name “The Silver Blue Experience” comes from — and if I can drag up Ryan Barndoff and Craig Byrnes up from the depths of my memory, I’ll be able to give you all the details of sitting in traffic in the spring of 1992, back when I ran a BBS named The Silver Blue Enigma (which, I thought, sounded exotic enough to be interesting), and after talking with Craig, and signing/writing with Ryan (who was going to Gallaudet University, and was hearing impaired), the parting shot from Ryan was “Thanks for taking the time to talk with us — it’s been a real experience!” I don’t think any further explanation is necessary.
I’ve been told at various times in my life that I’m actually a catalyst, in helping induce a change while remaining removed from it all, myself. Well, that’s the way that I used to be. These days, I’m too close to the situations to be a non-participant. I no longer am willing to sit idly by and watch life happen. Life is best when celebrated daily.
I’ve taken on the mantra that every day, I have to do at least one thing that makes me proud to have accomplished, even if it’s merely getting out of bed because I feel that I’ve been hit by a truck.
And oh, I guess it’s time for me to get my blog roll going again. After all, if I’m back… even in a limited capacity, it’s time to make sure my rambles are still heard. LOL.
Silver Blue here. I used to have a blog called Ramblings of Silver Blue. Then I went to The New Ramblings of Silver Blue. Then… I ran out of things to say. Or rather, I determined that online wasn’t the best place for my “thoughts” (most of which, looking back, were placed in order to attempt to gain readers.
The name “The Silver Blue Experience” harkens back to my BBS days, when I was SysOp for The SBE, just so you know.
Don’t expect this to be updated multiple times daily, however. I have many things that have taken priority in my life.
